I think this would be great, but really, how many seats will get actual connections. Ever try to find an empower jack on a plane in coach - I've never seen one yet. A great idea, but poorly executed. Hopefully Apple can bring it to the masses (coach) not just 1st class seats. Hey airlines, while your doing the wiring, how about installing those empower jacks at the same time.

Okay, I fixed it! I enter in the -advmethods in advanced and that got me one to work on straight away! Apparently this is quite a common problem, so if you're having problems with your Folding@Home, then try that tag and it'll probably work. Now I'm using my full CPU and Folding away!

Yes, because SO many iPhone 4 users are crying out that it�s just a little too small or a little too big! :p That�s a problem worth throwing vast sums of money and development resources at, not to mention customer confusion and loss of simplicity. Be more like Dell :)

A 4" iPhone would probably replace the 3.5" model so all the current apps would run on it no problem. It might require some tweaking for some apps but the upside is you get to update your app and sell it again.
If they build an iPhone with the same size screen as the iPod Nano then they could invite developers to develop mini-apps for that size screen to be used on the iPod Nano and iPhone Nano, creating a new AppStore category. Would be a huge market and very attractive to developers of news/info related apps.
Thats what I would think would be most likely if there was to be a smaller iPhone. As a developer, I just can't see Apple adding two new iPhone sizes. They can't just make the screen smaller as it may make some buttons/UI elements unusable. They could probably go to 4" and keep the same resolution, but at a loss of ppi. 3.5" is great because you can use it with one hand.

Maybe I'm just too old school, but I'm a bit resentful of the fact that it's touted as a priviledge to have the opportunity to pay $2 to watch a missed TV show. I hope I'm wrong, but having joined the HDTV crowd about 6 months ago, I'm struggling to find a way to do what I've always been able to do for free in the past -- record a TV show at the same quality it was piped in to my home in the first place.
Tivo isn't free either, I just can't justify paying the monthly subscription fee. Apple's solution seems to potentially cost even more. I don't see this as progress. :(

I'm all for more agencies adopting Macs! Heck, one day we might be able to classify them as switchers :D
You do understand that it's not that they're adopting them as their primary system for day to day use, but rather they're purchasing more because (with the slight increase in popularity of the OSX platform) they have to be able to counter said OSX threats.
They're mirroring the increased OSX hacker population. This isn't really anything for any Apple fanboi to be proud of.
Someone recently said Windows is a house with bars in a bad neighborhood and OSX being a house without locks in the country.
That being true, the FBI is just reacting in the expected manner to the increasing the number of criminals in the country (due to the increased number of country houses).

Are you living in 2005 or so? Recent SD cards already max out at 64GB. That is already ~100 CDs worth of data.

...but to add to the humor aspect going on here... I think Jobs wears the same thing every day to express solidarity with all the Apple users that have to settle for fewer choices and options than PC users.

I agree with some previous posts but I'll expand upon them...
If Apple infringed, they should pay, but the better alternative would be to buy Kodak, slowly shut them down (they're already slowly shutting down), then make RIM pay Apple! HAHA!
And in the process, Apple gets tons of patents, plus they can once again sell Apple branded printers and digital cameras again, something they haven't done for quite some time. The original Apple digital cameras were made by Kodak anyway. Then Apple could drop some other brands from Apple Stores and keep almost the entire purchase an all-Apple purchase.

After reading the MS Tech-Net Flash, I get weekly, and how my company will have to license Vista/Office neither will be purchased. It is now my mission to have a ~90% Apple environment (1200 plus users) by 2010. I have already introduced Mini's in place of thin clients. They are a huge hit. If Apple stays on course, they CAN make big inroads into corporate markets they have not had before. Vista....who cares.

Had that combo. I loved the air 11 but sorry, 3 hours of movie watching and it's ko'ed. I'm not watching a movie or reading my books on the iPhone either. Still unable to kill my pad's battery.

Wow the team is doing really good at the moment, we are set to overtake now before we get overtaken ourseleves. We have some 11 new members over the last week and have over 80 folder, lets get this to 100 :D

Those were the two good games... Then there were things like Pac-Pix, Pok�mon Rush etc. Also the original DS was really ugly, especially compared to the PSP :) In the end though, DS Lite came out as the winner.
One thing I really liked about the DS was that it came with a Metroid Prime Hunters demo, so there was at least something to play with immediately. Same thing with the AR cards included with the 3DS.
I'm really looking forward to future 3DS games, but then I always remember how the thing is region locked :( I have lots of Japanese and American games, for example Ouendan 1 & 2, Taiko no Tatsujin, Phoenix Wright etc. Many of these games didn't come out in Europe at all or came around a year late.

it is strange that they added a fourth band (VIII - 900 frequency) which is for more of europe, asia and also vodaNZ but doesn't open up anything in the US... even stranger is that i was just in NZ and my 3G[S] (which doesn't support VIII / 900 apparently) was on the vodaNZ 3G network the whole time. anyone with knowledge of this whole UMTS / HSDPA band and frequency thing, please tell me how this worked then?

Consumer Reports was clearly pageview trolling with the iPhone 4.
They rated it as their BEST smartphone, but said they wouldn't recommend it.
How does that make any sense?
Because, in their opinion, the iPhone 4's antenna was bad enough to make it bad at being a phone, which is its purpose, even though all the other parts of it were and still are amazing. However, they were completely wrong about that. Yes, maybe the reception gets worse when you touch that black spot, but I never leave the house without a case around it because the thing's expensive, so I never really got their point. That's why I tend to take CR with a grain of salt, but they did give it high ratings so... i guess you just have to read into their recommendations to get the full picture and decide for yourself.
